Herpes?

I noticed a bump at the base of the shaft near my pubic region. I tried to pop it but only made it bigger. Finally, I was able to pop it and white puss come out followed by blood. It is now beginning to scab. It does not hurt but other areas itch because I shaved recently (after I noticed the bump). Does this sound like herpes? It's only one bump. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I agree with Fleetwood20, I don't think it sounds like herpes at all.  It sounds like you do have an infected hair follicle or have had a pimple which has become infected.  The fact that you could pop it and pus came out and that it wasn't painful does not sound like herpes.  Herpes sores are extremely painful and you would certainly not be able to "pop" them due to the pain.  I hope this answer helps.    The itching would be an after affect from the shaving as the hair starts to grow back - it always happens.  All good.  Continue to stay safe and use protection.

Sounds much more like an infected hair follicle or similar. Herpes lesions will almost always not have pus.
