hsv 1 and saliva

i would like your advice or opinion on a particular problem.

i do not have hsv, however, a few weeks ago someone spat water from their mouth on to me in a changing room after a football game. although this was done in jest, unfortunately i was only wearing underwear and the water that they spat ended up on my back and running down through my underwear. ridiculously adolescent.

now a few weeks later, i have developed some itching and swelling around my anus, and whilst i do have a previous history of piles and recent constipation i am somewhat worried that it may be a case of hsv from the saliva in the water spat on me.

my main question is the following, how likely is the hsv virus transmitted through saliva whilst diluted in water?

i am worried that maybe i caught hsv from the saliva spat out however, it would have been diluted in water as well. i have read that the main transmission is through skin on skin transmission and saliva as well. but saliva diluted in water?

the itching is akin to a previous instance of piles, but as i have never had an hsv sore, i am unaware as to how painful or uncomfortable an hsv sore is.

i would really appreciate our opinion on this, i have already taken a blood test for both hsv 1 and 2, the results will come back in a week or so.

i really hope you can help out on this.

many thanks for your reply

unfortunately i cant see my provider for a week, i have already taken a hsv1 &2 serum test so i have something to show them.

could you please ask clarfiy what you meant by "spit did not transfer herpes"

i know that certain digestive enzymes in saliva can attack and disable the virus, and that the water used to spit would dilute the viral concentration. however, i am still quite worried. even though the chance may be small, i still have a very irritated case of piles. im worried that the virus may have entered the mucosal skin around my anus even though i jumped in the shower to wash it off.

whilst the chance may be low, i still have some symptoms that are worrying me. could it be a case of hsv infection or am is the chance of that ridiculously low?

i would really appreciate it if you could explain your rationale behind your comment.

thanks in advance, and if anyone else has an idea please feel free to comment,.

im quite worried here.

See you medical provider for your symptoms if you haven't already. Spit did not transfer herpes to your anus.
