poobear, it's good to be supportive. The point here though is that if someone has never had sexual intercourse, or received oral sex, one cannot have genital herpes. This is the case with Shay2102.
girl im fourteen too. i have been diagnosed with HSV1 yesterday. my mom is taking to me to a special gynocologist to get some blood tests to make sure its correct. i strongly suggest you do the same thing. scpecially since you have never had sex. i have had sex though. so its possible i have it. you will be okay. just stay strong. & GET A 2ND OPINION!

Herpes isn't something we all have that just pops up sometimes. Your parents need to take you to a different doctor for a proper work up and evaluation. If you haven't had sex and haven' t received oral sex, this can't be due to herpes.

Sorry I just noticed your Doctor is a SHE ..... makes no difference to anything I said though!
I agree ....... you cannot possibly have Genital Herpes whether it be HSV1 or HSV2 if you have never even been kissed much less anything else ..... Bring your parents to this Forum because they obviously know nothing of how Genital Herpes is transmitted and are taking your Doctors word for this which is clearly already causing you distress and anxiety that there is no need for and must be put a stop to immediately ......
I am disgusted that a Doctor would make such a diagnosis particularly when he knows you have had no sexual contact to support such a diagnosis it beggars belief that there are Doctors out there so misinformed and obviously uneducated about HSV .....
Scary actually !! I wonder how many others he's told this to.

There is NO way you could have genital herpes, unless you in fact had genital to genital OR oral to genital contact with some who has herpes. Your doctor is COMPLETELY wrong that everyone has genital herpes. Eee-gads!
You may want to speak to your parents about this. Have them read about genital herpes, and definitely get a 2nd opinion. Were you tested, or was it a visual diagnosis? If the latter - a visual diagnosis is NOT an accurate diagnosis. You must be tested to know if you truly have genital herpes.
