How often can HSV2 occurr

Not sure what is happening here -- but I am wondering from an initial onset of HSV2, from that point, how often can hsv2 occurr again?

And what is the treatment to avoid breakouts - other than protected sex - what sort of ointment or medicine can you take.

the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com has a list of the herpes antivirals you can use to treat herpes and goes into details about how to use them.

Please get all your question in one post only. It's hard to track down all your questions if you keep adding new posts.

From reading your older post I see you had symptoms a couple of years ago. Did you ever pursue type specific blood testing for herpes after that? If not, it's really a waste of time trying to understand what's going on.

If you're having symptoms again, be seen by a doctor immediately. Why waste your money on treatment that might even not be aproppriate at all?

Answering your question - recurrence pattern varies a lot, but for HSV2 is usually 3-4 times per year.
