Can females with genital HSV1 ever lead a normal sex life?

so you have oral and genital herpes both or did you mean you got it genitally from receiving oral sex?

what's the difference with what? I wasn't real clear with what you were asking.

I don't understand myself. I just got diagnosed with genital HSV-1 and I can't figure this out either. I know that I got it orally from my ex-gf. I don't talk to her anymore, I don't really know if she knew about her being infected or not and I don't see a point in asking... but she obviously didn't disclose it to me. What's the difference? I don't know.

I read the article by Terri Warren above and I am puzzeled and outraged.  Why does Terri and many others on this site recommend that people with genital HSV-1 disclose to their partners but I dont see them recommending disclosure of people with oral HSV-1 when the fact is that people with oral HSV-1 are the ones that are Mostly responsible for transmiting Genital HSV-1 .
