what are the chances of catching genital herpes from oral contact?

i recieved oral sex from my gf january 8th, two days ago she informed me she had herpes simplex in her mouth and wants me to get tested... i am freaking out, she wasn't having an out break at the moment but apparently you can still catch herpes when no out break is present?
i need help really, i have to wait till thursday to get the test results back...
i need to know for peace of mind what the chances are of me catching genital herpes from her oral sex when she had no breakout of signs of breakout???

we've already discussed this in the other post you made on it yesterday that evidently mistakeguy didn't notice.

as I already pointed out, sharing a drink isn't a risk for oral herpes.

educate yourself on herpes, don't be fearful of it.

You need 12 weeks after your last sexual encounter.  You should have your partner tested to find out her status.  Make sure she uses a type specific igg test.

we had sex jan 8th, i got my test results back on the jan 24th and they said they were negative.
i went to the doctor on march 28th and he thought i should get tested again so i did and i am now waiting for the second IgG test result to come back

You are overacting.  Herpes doesn't really impact adults through sharing a glass.  Its those intimate kisses we share.  You at this point are way over-reacting.  Your testing was accurate at 3 months.

i posted here earlier this year stating that i had sex with my gf at the time on jan 8th, she told me about a month later that she had herpes.
i immediately got tested and the results all came back negative.
4 months later we were having lunch and we accidently shared a glass. i panicked and went  to the clinic and talked to the doctor and he said that the odds of catching oral herpes from a glass are very small. i told him about my testing results 3 months prior.
he said i should get tested again because not enough time had passed for an accurate test.
well, i have had abosolutely no symptoms, no rash, no sore throat anything like that in the last 4 months and i should get my test results in a week but its the longest week in my life again and im really stressed out about it, should i worry?

That is correct.  If you get symptoms be seen within 24-48hrs though for a lesion culture.

This isn't herpes going on.  Could be anxiety.  You won't get tingling like a prodome symptom with initial infection.

The risk is low with oral sex.  If she performed it on jan 8th the testing you are having done won't show accurately if you have HSV or not.  You need to wait at least 12 weeks to get an accurate test.
