yes, way too early for testing for hiv and hepatitis as well as no reason to test for them from this encounter.
no reason to think your rash on your shoulder is a std.
First off I would like to thank you for your replies, very helpful while I was traveling and getting terribly worried. I did read that article on HIV and oral sex and it was very informative and reassuring, thanks.
As a development, the other symptom disappeared (burning tongue, nausea, night sweating) but were replaced into a pain in my stomach area (left abdomen) and I have been noticing a few red bumps on my neck and shoulders, plus some little bumps on my hands (though I suffer from pompholyx when under severe stress).
I saw a my family doc today and he said it's probably gastritis, tomorrow morning I will be getting a blood exam, a urine exam and an abdominal echography. The doctor did prescribe HIV and Hepatitis tests as well, but aren't these premature since exposure will just be two weeks tomorrow?
Today I started taking lactic ferments and watching my diet as per the doctor's orders and sure enough the stomach pain seems to be getting better.
I am a little concerned about these bumps though, especially the ones on my shoulder which are only 3 or 4 spots, red in colour. Would you consider these a possible indication of STD? Whatever the results of tomorrow's samples, do you think I should repeat STD tests at a later stage, when more time has passed since exposure?
Once again, many thanks for your time and advice.
did you read the terrific article here on the right side of the forum about hiv and oral sex? it's very informative if you haven't looked through it yet.
you really have no reason to think that this is a std going on. call your provider monday for an appointment to have it looked at to get peace of mind if you haven't been seen already for your symptoms.

Please ignore william's comments.
First off none of this sounds like HIV. You are freaking yourself out by being online and looking things up. You came here and we explained to you that your symptoms won't be releated to this encounter as they showed up the next day. No STD does that. You need to believe that.
Anxiety can cause anything .. but you can test for checkup... You can test for now ( chlamydia and Gon. and any fungal infection )
Good luck..
no not yet, the potential exposure was just over a week ago... the symptoms appeared the next day! I also wonder if they are a product of the terrible anxiety this is causing me...
Did you take any STDS test ?
to follow up I have now had the symptoms for over a week, even though they do seem to be getting milder they are still there. I am so worried still, I looked for more info online and found that even early HIV infection can present the kind of tongue symptoms and belly aches I have been experiencing. All this from oral sex, I am so confused...
please help me what should I do?
Never no. But never experienced cold sores.
did you take any blood test for herpes before?
the risk of a std in general from giving and receiving oral is pretty low in general. we don't recommend any testing even unless you develop symptoms.
my advice is stop googling about your risk, get up from the computer and keep yourself busy for the next week and go from there. the more you read and worry, the more likely things that aren't an issue will seem overly concerning to you :)
