Hsv test

I have questions about testing done from an at hime hsv kit. Does testing positive from bloodwork mean thats i positively have herpes although ive never had blisters?

It depends on what test was run.
Was it an IgG test?
If so, did you get index values with the test and what are they?
When was your last sexual contact?

You can test positive without having any symptoms but it’s important to know that you had the right testing done.

I believe it was an igg. Bit i was told that office only does hsv 2 testing and no hsv1 testing. I have been experiencing tingling fir abt 2 weeks but no outbreaks and no blisters.
If the test for HSV2 was positive, you should find out the index value. False positives do happen with an HSV2 IgG and usually fall between 1.1 and 3.5. If your index falls between that, you should get confirmation testing.
Im waiting to find out the index range. Is it lower than 1.0 means begative or 1.1-3.5?
*negative sorry
The index is 2.85
That's still pretty low, and since you don't know if you have hsv1, you should get a retest. The test standards say anything over 1.10 is positive, but most experts believe that anything under 3.5 should be confirmed.
That office doesnt test for hsv1 unfortunately and i trued to speak to them abt my index being within the needing confirmation range and they keep saying 2.85 is too high or give me fact sheets. How do i go abt the confirmation?
