Thanks Grace! I have not gone back to her since!!
it's unfortunate that your provider did a c section based on a hsv1+ blood test result :( That's actually malpractice.
at this point, I'd follow up with a new gyn every time you have genital symptoms or a dermatologist to get better answers.

Thank you so much for your advice!!
Well the thing is, for hsv1 you cannot be diagnosed with genital hsv1 without a swab test! Because even if you never remember getting a cold sore you probably got the hsv orally!! The only positive way you can find out if it's genitally hsv 1 is if yoy have a dr swab the area when you have a suspicious outbreak and if it comes back positive! Many people have hsv1 orally and don't even notice it!! That includes me! Altho I was in denial because my cold sores don't look like the traditional cold sores, I'd get a blister and think it's from biting my lip and the blister would be gone in less than 3 days, I always thought that hsv 1 lasted 10 days but mine only lasts 3 days max! And it never crusts or turns yellow or ever looks gross. It just depends on your immune system! So I advise that when you get these pimple looking things you should have a dr swab it for hsv1 within 48 hours of noticing it, even if you have to go to an urgency care to get it swabbed! That's what I did and I found out that my swabs came back neg three times!!! For three diff suspicious problems I was having. So I'm fairly certain that my hsv1 is only orally!! You should do the same! It might turn out that your hsv1 is only oral as well!!!
Blood test. At the time (14years old) I started getting it I was not having oral sex either. No form of sex. But at the age of 16 is when I had my first sexual relationship. And currently still with that person. Have not been with anyone else.
Did your dr who diagnosed you do a swab test or was it a blood test??
You can get hsv 1 genitally if you had oral sex.
