IGG results after positive igm test

I haven't seen any stories about someone saying they had a positive igm test and then come back and post after 3+ months saying that the igm was indeed a false positive. I was just wondering is there anyone out there that has actually tested positive by igm due to  recent exposure then test for igg type specific at least 3+ months after and be negative for Herpes type one and two.

I would like to know if people just come here to worrie about there igm test like me then find out it was indeed a false positive and just never post again because there not worried anymore????

fyi I tested high for my igm test and I am very worried. It was (1.29). I cant stop thinking about it. I just want to hear success stories I guess you could say...

Actually, we hear time and time again of folks testing with the IgM - and we tell them time and time again to disregard it. It's not the proper test for diagnosing herpes. Once again, disregard your IgM, and go with your IgG.

What made you get tested to begin with - just a routine screening?

If at the three month mark you tested negative for based on the IgG, then take that as you being negative.

i was tested because i passed out and someone claimed to do things with my body. which i did not want them to do.
