Vaginal Herpes scabs itch?

I was recently diagnosed with herpes type 2 and have been going through what I thought was the "healing process" the sores have started to scab and fall off but are starting to itch very much. Could this be just part of the formation of the scabs and dry skin? Is it normal for itching towards the end of an outbreak?

If the itching is still there tuesday, follow up with the vaginitis testing.  You were on antibiotics which makes you more prone to yeast too. just no end to all the fun you are having eh?

you still have the catheter in or is it out?

what antiviral did they put you on, what dose and for how long?

lol I didnt even notice I picked the wrong gender. I am a female. Its more of like an itch on the outside of the genitals and near the anus area. I am starting to get the scabs and so I was hoping the itching could possibly be just because the skin was healing. I was on antibiotics for a uti at the same time and so I think that should have covered it. Ive also had a catheter in for about a week because the swelling was so bad...does the swelling go down shortly after the scabbing process? Because the swelling is very painful and I miss being able to pee on my own lol. Thank you soo much for your reply!

are you male or female? the reason I ask is because even though you listed your gender as male, your name is female.

if you are female, I recommend going to be seen for proper testing for yeast and bacterial vaginal ifnections just to err on the side of caution. they are very common for females with a newly acquired herpes infection and are often overlooked.

it is itchy when it's healing too.
