If my whitlows blisters never big or open, are they contagious?

I recently asked for herpes blood tests at my yearly gyn appointment just to be thorough. Type 1 igg was 38, type 2 igg was 2.2 with 1.9 being the high end of equivocal.
I’ve never had cold sores or any baginal outbreaks. NP said I most likely got type 2 more then 3-4 months ago but less than a year or two. She said I could retest in 4-6 weeks to be sure. I just discovered “whitlows” and found an image of a mild case that looks EXACTLY like mine.
Looking back, a year ago I started getting small blisters here and there in my left palm and underside of fingers. Always only one or two at a time but as one would start to go away another would pop up in another location on that hand. They were tingly and  painful, but not horrible. They looked like the start of a wart, with faint purple spots in the center of them. I had fevers up to 103 on and off for most of the year since. I got a viral infection from HELL in my right eye theee months ago that did end up with corneal involvement tho the Opthamologist didn’t see lesions. He did say my symptoms were just like herpes tho. Now I’m getting achy and feverish again and noticed one of the bumps on my right hand but it doesn’t hurt much and it’s very small. I started acyclovir 3 days ago. I also recently began tapering up on low dose naltrexone which triggers some sort of “illness” each time I go up a tiny bit on the dose.
Main question is, if the blisters never get past the vesicle stage, how contagious am I? I have a 2-year old who got similar bumps on her hands when I did a year ago—so I thought we had HFM and just waited it out for around 4 weeks until the went away. Obv I will ask my Doc when I have my follow up in about 4 weeks if it was/is whitlows. I was married at the time and as far as I know, he just had heat rashes in the genital region in hot weather. But I’ve also been out and about in medical facilities and with lots of toddlers and babies.
Second question is whether I can develop a genital outbreak simply Bc the virus is in my system.

The 2.2 for hsv2 can be a false low positive. Anything lower than a 3.5 is suspect for a false positive. I would retest in a few weeks. Herpes stays in the nerve group it was contracted in. Herpes does not wander the body.
If you retest and your hsv2 is still 8n the low range (below 3.5) then you want to seek out the western blot test from the university of Washington.

All you can do is have the blisters looked at and swab tested for hsv. Whitlow is usually extremely painful.

Sorry I buried my second question in word vomit! Can you have a genital outbreak simply Bc it’s in your system, even if you never had an initial outbreak? Regardless of how you got it?
Is a type 2 igG of 2.2  and type 1 of 38, is there any hope that I don’t have type 2? I’m mostly worried about keeping my 27-month old free of both types.

Also my igm was negative even tho my chills and low-grade fevers and swollen glands had come back.

Gah! Forgot to mention that I have fibromyalgia, which is why I started low-dose naltrexone. Apparently fibromyalgia patients have to taper very very slowly or end up in the hospital with some sort of issue or another. I did end up in the hospital Bc my gallbladder got inflamed and I was throwing up for 8 hours. No diagnosis except to eat less animal fats.
I’m such a spaz. I also had a painful weeping rash 3 years ago on my scalp/male that took 6 weeks to completely clear.
I have a long history of illnesses that are hard to diagnose and  non-specific autoimmune issues and autoimmune chronic hives.
