Im a little bit of a hypochondriac

Ok so i have been sleeping with this girl for about 5 months now and about a month ago she gave me oral sex while she had a coldsore on her lip but we made sure not to have her sore touch my genitals. Just her tongue was licking it. Anyway i want to know what are my risks of getting genital herpes from her coldsore? I get coldsores too so im not sure if that gives me some sort of protection or not?? Please help

Yes there needs to be direct contact from the virus to the skin and some rubbing.

Thanks for the reply

So how good would you say this protection is? And are you saying that as long as my genitals did not have direct skin to skin contact with the sore i am alright?

Hi, yes if you have hsv it would be some protection as you would have antibodies that would help prevent it. To contact it from oral sex there would need to be direct contact WITH some rubbing to force the virus into the nerve
