You need to wait at least 2 weeks after an abortion to resume having sex.  Be sure to be using birth control when you do resume.

If your partner has genital herpes and has an active ob, they can perform oral sex on you without risk to you.  If you aren't having contact with their genital area, you aren't at risk of contracting their genital herpes infection.

I assume you mean oral sex? If she has oral herpes, she can transmit it to your genitals via oral sex. If she has genital herpes, she can transmit it to your genitals during intercourse (or, much less frequently, to your mouth if you perform oral sex on her).

A person can still transmit the virus without having a visible outbreak as well.
