I think it is Herpes but question type

So I had sex with an Escort about 27 days before my 1st symptoms started showing up.  Condom with sex but without for oral.  I had masturbated rough and frequently the same day I got a tingly sensation in my penis/leg area then the next day i got a crop of vesicles.  I also got some rash on the intersection of my butt.  I already tested positive for HSV-1 and negative for HSV-2 years ago.  I don't recall ever having blisters on my face though.  I'm married also.  After 3-4 days the 1st crop scabbed up and I started masturbating again, a lot.  I avoided the injured area but it still hurt although it didn't stop me from doing it.  I got a 2nd crop right next to the 1st crop by 7th/8th day.  The 1st crop all healed up (scab fell off) by 12-13 days.  The 2nd crop is in its 8th day and scabbing.  This is on the base/shaft area and unilateral, just one side.  I expect it to heal within 12-13 days.  I'm pretty sure this is herpes.  I just don't know if this is HSV 1 or HSV 2.  No fever or headache, itching or swelling.  Just blisters with scab and ulcer.

I did have sex with my wife about 10 days after the escort.  I did notice my wife was very wet and had a slight discharge.  It actually turned me off and I got soft.  I tried again 2-3 days later for sex where we finished.  That is around 14-19 days from my onset of symptoms.

I just took a blood test for IGG yesterday and should get results in a few days.  That would be about 6 weeks from the escort and maybe 4ish weeks from wife.

Does this seem like HSV-1 or HSV-2?  I keep hearing incubation is between 2-12, never more than 3 weeks by Dr. Handsfield although other websites say different.  That would mean my timeline with the escort doesn't match up, although it does with the wife.  Also, I've masturbated before and got scabs and maybe a blister?  I don't recall but I do get tingly feelings in my leg and a rash in my butt crack/back area sometimes.  I've always had suspicions on the butt/back rash but never cared to follow up.

I'm hoping this is HSV-1 and it is a recurrent one and the only reason I got 2 crops was cause I was masturbating even with the 1st crop, causing friction. I hear oral HSV-1 has triggers although HSV-2 doesn't and nobody knows if HSV-1 in the genital area does.

And if this is HSV-2 and a primary episode, how the hell do I bring this up to my wife?  She is the one i had sex with during the 1-3 week period!  If I ask her to test, what if it is negative?  That means I will have to explain how I got it.  Great...........

Is it possible to get 2 crops, back to back as a recurrence due to masturbation?

Update.  Wife is negative.  Its the escort.  27 days after exposure is when I got my first tingle and 28 days for first blister.  6 weeks after encounter I produced antibodies.

Blister on base of condom.  I even bought more condoms just to put it on and see where it ends and viola, same exact spot.  Back-to-back blisters is indicative of primary outbreak.  I should never have done this.

Wife only stays with me for the kids but I ruined everything.  If anybody is reading this, don't cheat and condoms don't always work.  It works what its on but not the skin around it.

I totally agree with Fleetwood. I Think you have the escort involved out of regret only, as you did not contract it from her as the test window is way to short for such a high reading. In my experience testing at 3-4 weeks, the number would have fallen into the false positive range. You may have had it a very long time or you contact it from your wife so i would leave the escort out of the equation as having your wifes mind full of terrible images of your affair is not worth anything.

I would think real hard about this. You having HSV2 or not should not be relevant to the relationship with your wife. It simply is an irrelevant virus.
This is about your relationship with your wife and what it is and isn't.
This has all clearly been going on for years and there would be little doubt your wife at least strongly suspects and you do realize there's a big chance she's had affairs too.
Basically you need to get yourself in order first. What do you want from life? Does that involve you wife? Whatever you want work it out then tell your wife everything.

Which is another reason why its the escort.  6 weeks post exposure versus 4 weeks from wife, and I'm IGG positive.  Positive reaction is more likely from the escort.  Also at the base of the shaft where the condom ends is where the breakout happened.  So I guess if I get more breakouts, it will be in that exact same spot area.

The test I had in 2012 didn't specifically say but it has the same ranges as the one I did now and its from the same company, STDExpress, and it says it can differentiate.  The difference is 2012 I did a full battery of tests versus 2015 I just did the HSV tests.  The website says HerpeSelect IGG test.

HSV1 is positive for 2012 and 2015.

If it was the escort, the positive IGG results is after 6 weeks, wife would be 4 weeks.  It's possible the previous HSV-1 antibodies were delaying the outbreak.  Or, its entirely possible I got it from my wife. I can't shake the feeling its the escort though.  The breakout is at the base/shaft of the penis, right where the condom ends and she did grind me.

Sucks.  I guess it doesn't really matter how I got it though cause I need to bring this up to my wife.  It's almost Christmas and we have kids and I don't want to ruin anything.  Maybe I will bring it up after the new year.

I was just thinking of telling her I had a breakout of something, had it tested and it came back positive and for her to test it.  If she comes back positive then i probably got it from her.  If it came back negative, then admit the other women.

I guess I will be celibate now.  I feel ashamed and depressed and I hope my wife doesn't have it.  I wouldn't blame her for leaving me.  It will be bad on the kids though.

I am going to strongly support Life here. Everything about your description suggests you have had HSV2 for some little while. It is way, way too much of a coincidence to have two low probability outcomes being lesions greater than 10 days after sex AND a positive IgG > 5 within 4 weeks. What are the chances!?
What was you HSV1 result? Where are you? US? Are you sure your previous tests were IgG and not IgM??

I don't think it is a recurrent infection.  I think it is new.  I tested negative about 2 to 2 1/2 years ago.  Back to back clusters is a sign of initial infection.
50% of people develop antibodies for IGG within the first 6 weeks.  I guess I am one of them.  The more I think about it, the more I think I got it from the escort and not wife.  So it was within 3-4 weeks, it was still close enough.

Since the number is over 5 it would appear youve had this for quite some time and did not get it from the escort. Maybe you had it before you met your wife. It does take time for antibodies to show and thats why its suggested to test at the 3 month mark.
The outbreak occuring after 2-3 weeks of intimacy only means its a recurrent outbreak, not a recent infection.

The outbreak occurring in the base/shaft area suggests it got through the condom since it may not have extended that far.  Plus she was grinding me without condom.  That's evidence it was the escort.

Evidence it was my wife is outbreak occurring 2-3 weeks after intimacy with her and she did have some milky discharge that was weird.  Versus 3.8 weeks with the other girl.

I've been with my wife for many years.  Obviously I have to tell her to get checked.  If she is positive, then I'm sure she gave it to me and never had symptoms before. I'd rather than think she cheated.  If not, I got it.  Which means my first symptoms was almost 4 weeks after the escort.  Possible the HSV-1 was masking/delaying onset of symptoms.

Frustrating.  I can take it if my wife always had it and gave it to me but not sure she will take it if I had it and gave it to her!  Especially if I have to explain it's a recent outbreak.  Recent cause it is back to back clusters, text book description.

IGG came back.  I'm positive for Herpes 2.  I have no idea who gave it to me.  Whether my wife or the escort.  Now I got to figure out what to do.  The 2nd crop basically tells me this is a recent infection.

That means 26-27 days from escort to tingling.  27-28 days to vesicle eruption.

With wife, it was 14-17 days till symptoms started.  I have a calendar and I'm trying to figure all this out.  Although the point of infection is at base/shaft area, and only one location, where the condom may not have covered completely.  Plus I already have HSV-1, so that means my symptoms may have been delayed or lessened maybe?

Damn it.

Hi, yes 27 days is really outside the window period for first time outbreak and since the first crop happened after you masturbated it would appear its a friction irritation not herpes.
