Did I transmit herpes?

Hi,
i’ve been recently diagnosed about 6 months ago. I’ve never had an outbreak or symptoms. I just went it for my routine checkup and was made aware. I do not disclose to everyone that I have it. I’m not ashamed it’s just a hassle. Unless sex is involved I don’t say anything. I have a question though. The guy and I were dry humping with our underwear on. His penis may have touched my inner though and outside my vaginal area with clothes on though. He also fingered me outside of my underwear…is it possible that I gave him herpes?

He didn't get hsv from this encounter. Im not even convinced you have hsv. Far from convinced. I would retest and see what happens. If you decide to retest l, only have an igg test. No igm!!!

1.35 is very low. Think of the number as a confidence number. The higher the number the more sure the test saw the antibodies.
What you've read is incorrect. An open sore is more contagious. In the absence of symptoms, even if the virus is shedding most exposures won't lead to transmission. He was at no risk. It takes the virus penetrating the skin or mucous membrane. This takes friction (being massaged in)

so even if he was rubbing against my inner thigh when we were making out and stuff hes most likely okay? because wouldn't that be considered friction? thanks so much for everything! sorry i have so many questions
also do you know anything about laws and herpes? could he sue me? since technically I knew I had it but didn't say anything?

Igg or igm test? Your very low numeric value could very well be a false positive. Any number under a 3.5 has a good chance of being a false positive. If your number was for an igg test you have a better than 50/50 chance this is a false positive. If it was from an igm test then completely disreguard it and get an igg test.

it was igG og 1.35. I though 1.35 was pretty high. On my paper next to it it says "high" If I get retested and if its positive the chances are still ow of me spreading it to that person? All of the articles I have read say that the slightest skin to skin contact even for the most brief second poses and pretty good risk. Sorry for so many questions. I really appreciate all of your help! Are you a doctor?

Hw was at no risk at all. Zero.
Now, what test came up positive for hsv and what was the numeric value of the test? This is very important as there are flaws in certain tests and posible false positives. If you don't have that info see if your dr can give it to you.

anything 1.09 or above was positive. I had 1.35....ive never had an outbreak or anything. I just found out during my yearly checkup...I just don't understand the skin to skin and friction and heat rule....so im not sure if his penis touching my inner thigh and maybe the outside of my vagina served as a very high risk
I also know there is  asymptomatic shedding too....but i dont know when that is or how often it occurs
