Is it at all possible?

Would it be possible to contract herpes If I fingered a girl...washed my hands with hand soap...and then masturbated?  No penis/vagina contact...but could the fluids from the vagina remain on the hands (even after washing them) and then come in contact with my penis and give me herpes?

No.  Your chances of getting HSV in this event are really low.  HSV is a skin to skin contact.  So yes it is possible to get HSV on the finger the risk is low due to the toughness of our skin on the fingers.  Now if you are worried about your genitals the answer is no.  HSV doesn't live that long typically and if you washed your hands the water and soap alone was good enough to kill it.
