Is it herpes? Unprotected Oral

Hi,

I am M24, I had an unprotected oral sex (both penis and anus) with a girl with questionable background. I have a habit of cleaning my genitals with soap immediately after the contact. It is something I would always regret but here is my case:

Exactly after one month there was a redness on my penile head and I immediately saw a physician in an urgent care. I was tested for HIV and HSV and both were negative. I know that its not enough time period to get tested. The redness went away within a couple of days but it comes in different places on my penis, just the redness or like tiny dots sometimes but they go away within a day or two.

I again had HSV/gonorrhea/chlamydia tests at week 7 which were negative and another HSV test (igg) on week 9 which I was said as negative as well. I was having a tingling feeling along the left side of my head for a week or two and also a pain inside my penis for a while but it isnt present now anymore (I am in week 10 now and the pain and tingling were at around weeks 6 and 7). Today I again see the red dots on my head with a mild pain underneath them and a redness on the foreskin when I pull it back (this is after masterbation today). I am thinking to give up masterbation for a couple of weeks to see if thats the case, and my dermatologist recommended some anti fungal creams which I havent started using yet.

My question is, are my symptoms related to herpes or anyother STD? I am planning to get a full panel test on the week 12 which I can consider 95% conclusive (please correct me if I am wrong) along with HIV RNA test, so that I can have a peace of mind. Also, I am concerned about HPV. should I get my new partner (with whom I havent had physical relation yet) a HPV vaccine?

Can you please help me with at how much risk I am at approximately? I am losing my night's sleep whenever I feel burning sensation in my penis or anus. Also please give me your suggestions about any tests etc which will be helpful.

Thanks in advance for reading my post. Wish me luck. Good luck to everyone who reads this post.!!

cheers!

A HSV2 infection from oral sex is essentially a zero chance and unheard of for a couple of reasons:
- oral HSV2 is very rare
- even if a HSV2 infection is present, it is not known if it sheds sufficiently to create a meaningful chance of transmission.

I agree that it is not clear whether you have HSV1 as you'd expect some lip sores to have present at least somewhere in the past. Mouth ulcers will typically not be a herpes lesion when the infection is established.

Thanks for your reply bro.

I used to get mouth ulcers when I was a kid but I'm not sure if that is HSV1 or not. I'm concerned about genital herpes (HSV2) infection due to the tingling and on and off rashes that come and go once every 4-5 days. I feel burning of foreskin and the head and some pain along the side of my penis as well. How common is it to contract a genital herpes from an unprotected oral sex?

Do you already have an oral HSV1 infection, meaning do you get cold sores?

You would not need to wait a month for herpes symptoms to appear, particularly if we are dealing with a primary HSV1 infection.

Are you saying you have not had any sexual relations since the episode you describe?

This does seem more related to a fungal or bacterial infection.
