How do I interpret this?

So in both July and October, I got tested for Herpes type 2 (igg) and both came out equivocal--last sex encounter was late May or early June. I've never had symptoms I just got tested because why not. I just got tested again on Dec 4th and it came back borderline positive 1.11
My doctor says she cant tell me a definite answer because i have no symptoms and these antibody tests are known to produce a lot of false positives. what should I think of this?

Your Dr sounds knowledgeable. You can seek out the western blot for the best confirmation test there is. Contact the university of Washington.
The fact you keep getting these low readings mean that the test is picking up something. Think of the numeric value as a confidence number. The higher the number the more confident the test found exactly what it was looking for. These real low values say the test picked up something but not confident that it was what it was looking for. This isn't that uncommon.

But does that mean it's most likely positive? Even after 6 months?
No, in my experience way more of these low positives are false positives. That being said confirmation testing is a good idea.
