Can the herpes virus pass through hair follicles in the groin? And do I have Herpes?

Hello, So I am 22 years old male in the US, and I had a protected condom sex with a prostitute. it was mostly oral but she spat on my groin area which I later cleaned. And there was less than 30 seconds of unenthusiastic light sex involved. The next morning I felt a general sense of discomfort and slowly I began to feel a light burning sensation in my urethra, I have had this exact symptom 3 years ago when I was a virgin and the doctors didn't know why and it passed away then, it did this time too but I began to notice some blisters in my rectal area between my butt cheeks. The blisters were painful and itchy and when I looked at pictures and cross checked symptoms they looked like either it was a rectal yeast infection or maybe a herpes infection. It is important to add the place I was staying at the moment ( a friend of mines until ours was renovated) wasn't exactly sanitary and I found a used toilet paper with brown residual that did not smell like excrement on the counter of the toilet sink once. I later had that symptoms when I wiped my bum without going to the toilet. I self diagnosed it as some sort of yeast infection because my symptoms were very familiar with the ones I found online or maybe I was in self denial. I used lamisol aniti fungal cream and later spray, which gave me a relief from the burning sensation which after a period of 3 weeks subsided The blisters diapered but I had itching inside my anus for a while after.. I did go to hospital during the beginning days of my outbreak and I had a sample taken for herpes which came back negative. And I also went to the hospital on wednesday for sharp pains on my lower sides(both left and right possibly my intestines )The new doctor told me it might just be dehydration after blood and urine check up but I know the pain was too much to be dehydration. I asked her about the blisters that have gone away she said it might be a false negative and told me to take acyclovir anyways, which I am doing now. As of this morning I am beginning to feel this aching, scratching feeling in my groin(area of spit) which I haven't felt anytime between the sexual encounter and now. After all this what is your diagnosis, I am thinking of getting a blood checkout anyways for herpes but does the fact that I am taking acylovir mess up with the tests? Can the herpes virus pass through hair follicles in the groin?  Thank you, I am a bit freaked out at the moment

I recommend stopping the meds for a few weeks then test.

You need to have a bloodtest. You can get one now as a baseline tgen get another twelve weeks from exposure. The meds will affect the testing so you may want to stop taking them. Herpes needs to be massaged in and normally i wouldn't be at all concerned with this type of protected exposure as the risk level is extremely low. That being said the blisters are concerning.

It has been about 5 weeks since the exposure, will I get an accurate blood testing, if I go tommorow, or after I finish the acylovir pills(I've 4 more days left to finish them)? what do you recommend?

Thank you
