it's already a week late, take the test :)
If it's negative, talk to your provider about what to do next. this isn't a herpes issue.
No I haven't not yet I think im going to wait another week
so if your period is late, have you taken a pregnancy test?
Should I be worried about my period being 8 days long when it's normally only 4-5 days and now I'm a week late for my period and don't have and symptoms of coming on like my chest hurting are anything should I go see a doctor??
ok - just best to be sure since you don't get recurrences frequently and they don't last long ( not that anyone would complain about either!!! )
schedule that gyn appointment so you can start trying to figure out why you might not be getting pregnant quickly :)
yes i had a lesion culture which came back to be hsv2 positive
so you had a lesion culture that was typed and came back as hsv2+? if you aren't sure, not a bad idea to find out.
well when i first found out i had a really bad outbreak so my doctor did a vaginal test
what testing was done originally?
i have hsv2 and i use to treat it when i was first diagnosed but i do not take anything anymore because i hardly ever get an outbreak sometimes i forget i have it until it happens and my outbreaks arent bad they last for like a day then goes away
how were you diagnosed as having genital herpes? do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally?
do you ever have to treat your genital herpes? no you do not. treating your herpes helps you to have less recurrences if you take it daily or if you only take it when you have recurrences, it helps to heal ob's faster.
herpes doesn't have any effect on your fertility. if you've been trying for more than 6 months to get pregnant, see your gyn for a full exam to try to start finding out why you aren't getting pregnant as fast as you'd like to.
when you do get pregnant, stop back about halfway through your pregnancy so we can help you with some advice about herpes and pregnancy. There is also a whole chapter on herpes and pregnancy in the free herpes handbook too if you haven't read that yet.
best of luck getting pregnant :)

Herpes does not prevent you from having children whatsoever. It is completely possible for you to conceive a perfectly healthy baby despite having herpes and this is proven daily (approximately 20-25% of women who give birth have genital herpes). Taking antivirials do not make you any more or less fertile than you are. Keep trying to have a baby, and if you are still unsuccessful then see a doctor who can examine you for other possibilities. I can tell you without a doubt that herpes is not what is preventing you from getting pregnant.
