if you are worried, follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test and be done with it.

So would it be safe to say that if you have had ZERO symptoms of HSV-2 from your encounter to 3 months later you don't have it? I've been periodically checked by 3 experienced MD's over this time period, so the chances that I dodged the bullet are good then right?

dormant is misleading. The vast majority of folks who have hsv2 genitally are getting symptoms it's just that they don't recognize those symptoms as being due to herpes.
