Is this herpes?

Hello,

Looking for some answers and I have a doctors appoint later today, but in the mean time I am in fear. I had what started out as a small hard bump within a few weeks it got huge and looked like a skin colored air bubble and hurt to touch.  When it filled to about a a quarter it burst on its own and blood came out.

Thanks,

Suzy

Then seek out a female dermatologist.  But there isn't much we can do for you here.  You need to be seen by a specialist.

Seek out a dermatologist as their speciality of the skin.  Though it doesn't sound like herpes just like we said.

Let us know how your culture comes back please.

What you should do be seen by your doctor.  They can give you an idea.

Grace is this the same test as you recommend? Herpes 2 IgG Abs (Remote exposure HSV type 2)

I was going to order that through lab corp and wondering if that is one that can give me answers about this unknown blister. Thank You for your help.

herpes lesions typically do not start out as hard and then take that long to progress to a blister and then pop. odds are it's something else going on.

while you are at the appointment, ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is too.
