Recent blood test  7 weeks after exposure showed negative for Hsv Igg1 and Igg2 negative but Igm showed "equivocal" .96 from labcorp. Am I positive for herpes, do I need to re test and if yes when? Thank you for all your help

please do not continue making multiple posts with questions in them. our read before posting post is located under the "important announcements" tab on the forum with the rules of posting here. thank you for your future cooperation with this.

you can't ascertain anything about your herpes status at this point. repeat your testing at the proper time - igg testing only for better answers.

it's most helpful when you just keep adding to you original post instead of making new posts each time .we ask this in our read before posting post located under the important announcements tab. thank you for your future cooperation with this.

the herpes igm test is a greatly flawed test. current cdc recommendations are that it not be drawn on adults.

You need to wait and repeat your testing at the 3 month mark if you are concerned about herpes from this encounter.
