sorry i wont ask anymore because i understand you cant make a diagnoses online but to clarify i was just wondering, that with your knowledge that you might think maybe i was one of the small number of people that may have got something from mutual masterbation or if you highly doubt its anything.
you need to be seen if you are concerned.
why would I say something different now?
well i asked him awhile back and if he would be concerned about the incident and he said no, but i never showed him my hand, ultimatley i dont really like going to the doctor so i just was wondering if u think theres good chance the two are related, or if you stick to your original post
see your provider if you are concerned about any symptoms.
im sorry im keep bugging you but i was worried about hpv also because a few months after i got like a white bump on my knuckle, and i was freaking out about that too, also a white bump on my thumb i picked off and now i still have like excess skin there. you think that i should be concered of genital warts on my hands. sorry again
don't ask us to repeat ourselves dear.
hey, its me again i just wanted to specify, when i cut my self it was like a scrap and it was proably like 1inch long and it was when i went down into her shorts i scarped my hand, like if you can imagen rubbing your hand up against something and scarping , they were 2 scaps an inch long.
most of us have hhv 6 and 7 by the time we reach adulthood. it's not an increased risk for hiv.
hsv2 causes changes in the genital skin that allows someone to be more easily infected with hiv. a cut on your finger would be meaningless.
sorry to overwhelm you with the question
could it possible type 6or7 also?
what if someone had hsv2 and fingered with a cut would that increase it though, or is it only during sex
hsv2 infection increases the risk of hiv. you don't have hsv2 and your genitals weren't in contact with someone else wh was infected with hiv. you don't get hiv from fingering either.
sorry to keep bothering you but i read on a couple other sites that say having herpes increases the risk of hiv transmission if this is the case would my fingering risk be higher. do to the fact i have herpes.
we don't have blood tests that are actually accurate in 10 year olds. I recommend at this point you repeat your herpes igg blood tests now that you are older and tests would be accurate for you. if it wasn't the genital herpes though then you tested + for hsv1 which is what 1 out of every 2-3 people you know has!
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm has terrific info on oral herpes for more reading. they are switching servers right now so if you can't access it the first time, try again later.
no, even a cut isn't a concern.
thank you for the reply...i was tested when i was 10.. i was so young..my mom tells me that the doctor said it wasnt the sexually transmitted kind but...i dont know if she really remmebers that well, so i have always been worried about that. but even with a fresh cut you dont think its a concern.
let's start at the very beginning - how were you diagnosed as having herpes? was it oral or genital?
you won't get a std from fingering someone. there's no need for worry or testing from that.
