I was with a girl who has herpes. She said she did not have it when we hooked up and that she got it from her cheating husband (ironic) shortly after we were together. Her doctors agree(so she says) and said that her outbreak was 'typical' in form of sores and timeline after having sex w/her husband. However the timelines are so close and I don't believe anything the girl says except for the fact she has herpes. I've been tested in the past and have not tested positive for anything ever. When we 'hooked up' we both did oral on each other for a short period of time, then tried to have intercourse. Between being intoxicated and just not aroused by her, we did not have intercouse however there was some rubbing going on for sure and possible a minor amount of vaginal insertion.
I went to an std clinc and was tested for everything including a type specific herpes test. Everthing was negative but they said I should wait 12 weeks. When I did the test, it was 7.5 weeks. My questions is....are they correct and even if they are, can I have any comfort at all in testing negative for hsv 1 and 2 after 7.5 weeks????
Thanks for any responses!!!
