It'll take up to 3 days on average until you are feeling better. It can take that long for the medications to start to work well enough to give you relief.

Thanks a lot for youre help. Youre comments took some of the stress out. The spay is just for odor, I apply it always when im on my period, but i guess im never doing that again.
Ive been seen by the OBGYN and he said it was a very bad yeast infection. He prescribed oral antifungals and a cream that burns a lot. Has this happened to you?? when can I expect to feel better??
Thanks a lot again
You need to go and be seen. Don't put it off any longer. don't guess and self treat for anything. None of this is normal and needs prompt follow up for if you haven't already.

By the way, you don't say what the vaginal spray is for. Is it medically necessary? Your vagina has a balance of bacteria that ensure its health and prevent infections, and actually you are not even supposed to use soap on it! Use soap around the tops of your legs, but the rest of your genital area just needs a gentle thorough douche with warm water each day. Anything else can make it more likely thast thrush and other infections will occur.
It's scary when unexpected unexplained things start happening with our bodies. However, take a breath and have faith - your body has a lot of automatic protective processes and your brain will take care of anything else.
It sounds like a very common infection known as thrush. It is caused by an imbalance of bacteria normally present in your genitals. There are medical creams you could get for it, but there is an old home remedy that always works - a yogurt poultice. It's messy and squelchy but extremely effective and much less embarrassing than having a doctor look at your genitals and go 'hmmmm'.
Get some plain natural yogurt from the supermarket (check the label to make sure it contains live cultures). Put a couple of towels on your bed and get an old pair of undies ready - granny buckets if possible, definately not g-strings! Cover the aflicted area with yogurt, put some in your pants for good luck and try to sleep without laughing yourself to death ;-) Take a shower in the morning, and repeat another night. You should feel relief the first morning, but another night will help ensure the infection doesn't come back.
If you're not game, a trip to the doc will set you on the road to clear it up. Otherwise, your body will probably fight it off within a couple of weeks, but it is better and less painful to sort it out.
If the poultice doesn't work, THEN and only then be more concerned and definately see the doctor.
:-)
