Light penetration and chances

Had sex with a female last night protected but afterwards I teased her with light penetration. I entered her with the head a few times and slid my penis on her vagina. Today she tells me she had herpes! And for two years! I'm livid.

I washed myself when I got home but I'm not sure if that did any good.

Am I screwed now?? I'm really upset. I just had testing done and was clean.

Thank you. So you suggest just waiting to see if I have symptoms to retest?

For the record she claimed she had hsv1 and not hsv2. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Well hsv1 on the genitals rarely sheds, Wich means you have a much slimmer chance of passing it, so in your case catching it. That's if it was on her genitals tho, if she has it on her mouth, you could get it via oral sex (her performing on you) but again hsv1 doesn't really like the genitals so it's harder to pass on that way. Type and location do carry weight with hsv, again i wouldn't worry, unless you see soars, Wich you definitely would as a primary hsv1 outbreak on the genitals is said to be severe, I wouldn't worry at all, test at 12 weeks, it'll make you feel better, but take those results as conclusive.

That sums it up well enough. Eben if she was shedding most exposures won't lead to infection. Hsv is not a suoer contagious virus. Now your exposure that was of concern (unprotected brief oenetration an light rubbing) was low risk but certainly not zero. Most primary outbreaks happen within 10 days. Around 4-5 is the average. All you can do is wait and see unfortunately. Then if nothing happens you can test at 12 weeks to be sure

The statistic is from a study done in Wich a group of couples (one person in the couple had hsv2 aka genital herpes) I believe it was 100 had sex 3 times a week for a year, unprotected, only 2 or 3 of the couples spread the virus to their SO feelingundone is more knowledgeable on the study than as I have forgotten some details on the study I'm sure. But he is correct

My post is incorrect it was 20 couples with one passing the virus, took a look and noticed undone has already referenced the study lately ;P

You are certainly not screwed. This type of exposure is low risk. If you had unorotected sex this would be roughly a 1 in a 1000 chance. Your unprotected contact was brief with lower friction. Your risk isn't zero but it is very very low

Where are you getting this 1 in 1000 figure, because from what I have read. Is that if she is shedding, which can be asymptomatic 30% of the time, that there could be good reason for concern.

I have read for HIV that the it is like 1 in 1000 or maybe it's 1 in 2000. But other factors chance that number.
