Nervous waiting for results; could it be something else?

After a weekend spent with a new guy, my vagina was swollen and it was painful to walk and urinate.  Thought it was just a yeast infection which I can easily get.  Went to the Dr and she notices 2 ulcers, which where not together.  She didn't think they where herpes, but swabbed them anyway. She thinks it is BV She put me on antivirals just in case, still painful to urinate after 5 days and sex is painful.  Any chance this is not herpes?

did they also treat you for bv?

I also recommend that you and your partner seek out type specific herpes igg blood tests too.

you should not be having sex at this point either.

There is a chance that it is not herpes, as your doctor says.

The only way you will know is when the tests return.

Let me know how you get on
