Indirect contact with cold sore

Hi,

My sister has an active cold sore and applies cream to it with her finger, touched the taps to wash it off. I straight after turned on the tap to wash my hands. What are the chances of contracting whitlow from this instance?

Thank you in advance

Ps. I have had hsv1 from a young age if that makes a difference

It does make a difference. The odds of ever getting hsv1 anywhere else on your body is slim to none. Your body has built antibodies that offer great protection. That being said. Even if you didn't have hsv1 this would still be a zero risk event. Hsv isn't contracted like that.
