Lump on skin of anus

I have a painful lump on the outside of my anus.
I have not partaken in any sexual activity for the last year and a half and even then never penetrative anal sex.
I was wondering what the chances are of having genital herpes? :(
Thanks

I worry :( Herpes is a highly stigmatised disease.
I thought this was meant to be a place of understanding and guidance.

Your "life is over"??? Because of a bump on your butt??  Probably a hemorrhoid?

Grow up. This is going to turn out to be nothing serious and for sure not herpes or other STD..

That's if it doesn't go away.

By far the most common cause of a "painful lump on the outside of my anus" is a hemorrhoid.  Get seen professionally for confirmation or if it does go away after a few days,

Hi, herpes sores are not under the skin lumps but soft topical open blister/razor type sores. Only testing would confirm your status but if the lump is very close to the anus opening, its most likely hemorrhoids.
