Mixed information on western blot

I have some questions regarding information am reading about western blot.

Firstly on another support group am reading that this test is good only when you have a false positive for hsv2. Is it the case please?

Secondly here am seeing that you can do a western blot to detect hsv1 when in low ppsitive as wel.

So can you tell me when it is advisable to do western blot?

The western blot is bested served as a confirmation test. This is really only due to the hassle and expense of getting it done. It is a far more indepth essay for hsv2. It is a far better test for hsv1 as well. Way more accurate. So is it worth it? I think it is.
