Herpes Scare/How long should I wait to get tested?

My boyfriend and I haven't been together very long, and we've always used condoms. Recently he got his blood test results back and they said he was equivocal for herpes 1 and 2. I was immediately scared but spent the first few weeks just trying to support him because he was afraid and depressed. But now, all I do is worry about it. Before we found out, he went down on me a few times without a dental dam, and I'm afraid that there's a possibility I have been exposed through this oral method. My sister has oral herpes, and I've shared drinks with her my whole life, plus I have had cankers my whole life since I was a child, so I really have no idea if I've been exposed to herpes 1 by him or my sister. I'm prone to UTI's and YI's, and when I practice safe sex with a condom I get these infections. Recently I've had a UTI for a few days that's killing me, usually my Zenith meds make it go away but this one is tough. I've had tough UTI's before so bad that I pee blood. :( But because of my recent knowledge I'm deathly afraid I have a UTI due to exposure to herpes virus. I've stopped our sexual activity until the UTI goes away but I'd also like to wait and get a blood test... how long do I have to wait to get a test? We've been sexually active for almost 2 months and he's never had an outbreak on his crotch or mouth. Help. This is driving me wild, I've always been safe and STD free. I'd like to stay that way.

I went and got tested today for everything... I got tested last year and was 100 safe and good. When the dr called him to tell him his results she said he was positive, and then when he went into get his valtrex, the dr said he was equivocal. I think he's a 9.0? This confused us, and he's going in for another test next week. He's never had any signs of herpes, and the encounter he had happened over 6 months ago.
He said that during his 1 time encounter the condom broke. He called her after finding out his results and she said she was positive for herpes.

First off equivocal is usually negative. The reason they have the eqivocal range is so that your provider knows to question you more and to repeat the blood test later on if needed. Do you know how long ago your partner last had sex with anyone else prior to being tested?

You can go and get tested now to know your own status. You need a baseline herpes result yourself since you are worried about it in this relationship.

Not sure how much you've pursued a work up for your uti's but if you are peeing blood with them, you really need to be followed up on by an urologist.
