More Information

I have herpes and the last time I had an outbreak was in august and I knew it because it was pain in my private areas. I think I'm having an outbreak now but the dr. said there were no lesions or blisters. Can I still be having an outbreak because its the same pain from before? It started as a really bad itch so is unbearable itching a symptom of an outbreak as well?

bv is a known trigger for herpes ob's and herpes shedding. Be sure to treat your bv properly. if you have a hsv2 negative partner, avoid sex until you are done treating the bv.

Im not sure I know she took cultures but I haven't received the results yet. I have a perscription for a bacteria infection because she said that's what it looked like. So i'll just keep taking them in hopes that it works. But its kind of painful down there to the touch so could it be something else as well?

Unbearable itching is more indicative of a yeast or bacterial infection, and especially the non-presence of lesions makes it even more less likely of a herpes OB. The doctor can test you for fungal/bacteria - did he/she do so?
