Never had herpes, don’t know what this is...

I had a baby last November and was tested for stds early on and all came back negative. I don’t know if they did a Herpes test or not. I’ve been married for six years and both my self and husband have never showed signs of having them. I flew on an airplane all day last Tuesday while on my period and later that night noticed a lump on my Labia majora that itched like a felt like a bug bite (very well could have been). I messed around with it thinking it was an ingrown hair too but haven’t shaved down there in some time. It’s scabed over now from me messing with it and squeezing it. It is not painful or tender. I’m  freaking out that it might be herpes. My husband says I’m overreacting and that it’s nothing. It’s only one bump too on the outside Of my Labia majora, I have nothin on the inside.

Herpes is usury multiple vesicles and they are usually very  painful. The vesicles usually pop really easy and leave a ulcer that usually heals with a yellow/brown scab.. I recommend to go to the doctor to make sure it isn't herpes.

I agree with your husband. The genitals are susceptible to bumps, ingrown hairs...etc. this really doesn't sound herpes related. If your really worried you can have a simple igg blood test for hsv but i don't really think it's necessary.
Testing for herpes when pregnant is pretty common. Again i wouldn't worry.
