Newborn with herpes

If a person has a cold sore, can they transmit herpes to a newborns chest without ever having contact with the newborns chest?

You never blew raspberries on anyone's belly?  You know when you take a deep breath, put your lips up to their belly and then blow and make lots of noise that typically tickles?

Oral herpes is transmitted thru direct skin on skin contact. In order for a cold sore to be transmitted to a baby's chest, the person with hsv1 would need to be kissing the chest area or making raspberries on it etc.
