On suppressive therapy/yeast infecton/anal discomfort?

Hi,
I had written on 2/23 as to 7-10 days of generalized itching/burning in the vaginal/anal region and if it was related to my HSV-2 status. I received excellent support and advice from this forum for which I was very grateful. I have been on suppressive therapy, Valtrex 500mg daily (with a few days of 1000mg) for 3 weeks at least.
I got in for a pelvic exam last Friday and the doctor said she saw no lesions and put me on meds for yeast. When I have applied topical micanazole cream to my vulvar area and anus, it sometimes burns, stings, irritates which I guess is a common side effect upon research
I have a partner coming to visit me today for four days. Yesterday, I put on the cream and went for a hike in the mountains in a new pair of exercise tights. (Through this yeast infection, when I exercise or wear tight clothes the symptoms seem worse which I believe is normal too). After my hike and swim in a salt water pool, I noticed I had stinging pain on one side when having a bowel movement. There is a slight soreness there. I have examined the areas closely and see no lesions. I thought I saw a crack by the right side of the anus, but after applying Preparation H last night, upon looking this morning, I don't see it. I went ahead and took an extra Valtrex too. Nothing hurts unless I press on the area while examining and it is a very, very mild discomfort even then. I have not yet had a bowel movement today, so not sure if it will still be painful.

I was just wondering whether given my situation/events it is likely that the anal discomfort is related to my HSV-2/am I contagious or does it sound like maybe something from all the other factors.
This whole thing has been so frustrating as I am someone who 99% of the time is fine down there!
Again, don't want to endanger partner, but also don't want to spend my time with him/vacation worried about something not related to HSV-2. Any insight or words of advice would be most appreciated.

I understand your worry. I think once your mind relaxes your issues will fade quite a bit. Unfortunately when we have fears it causes a focus that almost makes us paranoid. I've been there!! You needn't feel shame. Really, we have all had sex. Some folks contract the virus some don't. It's really that simple.
Please enjoy your partner and your sex life. Hsv won't stop you from anything you want in life.

I truly feel that way too. I worry a lot and I think still have issues accepting myself with HSV-2 and having reasonable thoughts and emotions when it comes to the fear and shame of sorts in relation to HSV negative partners. Effing bless you feelingundone. Your response means a lot and inspires me to be there for others.

I really believe if it was hsv related you would've had an outbreak. Surely by now. Your daily therapy and condom use is all you can do. Enjoy your time with your partner!!! Nothing you describe would lead me to think otherwise.
