Oral HSV 2 positive; ? risk of genital HSV 2

My partner has genital HSV 2 and I acquired oral HSV 2 from her. Have not had intercourse. What is the risk that intercourse will result in genital HSV 2 for me?

so you didn't have any lesion cultures of oral symptoms?

had you ever had a herpes igg blood test before?

the only way to diagnose hsv2 orally is through a lesion culture of active oral symptoms.  you can't assume hsv2 is oral just because of a + hsv2 igg. Most folks who have hsv2 orally, also have it genitally too. if you've never been tested for herpes before this , no way to know if you even contracted hsv2 from this partner or not too.

do you recall what your igg test results were - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg 3.9 or whatever they were?

Yes, I performed oral sex on her. Diagnosis was by IgG test.
