Oral Herpes or bacterial infection/clogged pores?

Hello,

After performing oral sex on a woman, I had the following symptoms roughly a day or two after exposure. I do not know if this is coincidental, or as a direct result of said exposure. I do lick my lips, and do smoke a lot, so I wonder if there is any potential of some other type of bacterial infection or if indeed I am looking at Oral Herpes.

1st symtoms, were 3 rather large bumps from the middle, middle right, and right side. These were flesh colored, very large and flat. The texture on the bumps was different from normal skin. One of the bumps appeared to have a little liquid in it, but it disappeared after about a day. These bumps ended up disappearing for the most part, with no blistering or anything, just faded away.

However, I have been having a mixture of a light burning and tingling in my lips. And after noticing the bumps on the bottom, I developed a lot of bumps on my upper lip, and they did cluster in one spot, but did not really form into a larger bump. When rubbing my lips together, I felt a lot of bumps under the skin. I did try using a balm, but that seemed to spread them. After using an oil astringent (2% salic acid) I use on my face, the bumps almost cleared the next day. I noticed what appeared to look like perspiration or something, pin drop amounts of what looked like water or oil. The bumps were more whitish and color, and I did not get any "yellowing" as of yet. It is not completely healed and there are some minor bumps seeming more below the skin. I noticed some small craters, and dry, flaking skin around the craters, looks like normal dry lips.

I've attached a picture for reference. This is when the bumps were at their worst. The photo, and harsh angled lighting makes them look a lot worse than they were. The bumps were basically invisible from normal looking in the mirror, but became more pronounced when puckering as in the photo. The burning, and clustering of bumps in the upper left of the picture, as well as general spreading does make me worry. From start to finish, as they appear to be fading quickly, it has been about 5 days.

I will try to see a specialist tomorrow, Monday or if not on Tuesday, if I can make an appointment. I am worried there will not be much left by then, and I may not be able to figure out what happened.

Appreciate any responses,
Thank you kindly!

Hi, many people have oral herpes but what your describing does not appear as a oral outbreak. Have a blood test if your concerned.

Is there any chance this could be an allergic reaction?

I found out she is using a body cream all over her body. It is from the same company, that I vaguely remember gave me some a strange rash over 10 years ago. If I kissed, licked, and ingested the stuff, is it possible this could be caused by some allergic reaction? I don't know if it's hopeful thinking or not...but it could actually be valid reason. Could the symptoms be similar?
