Oral herpes or anxiety?

I'm a 26 year old male. On Wednesday night I received and gave oral sex along with kissing to another guy.  I've fooled around with this guy before but it has never gone past oral sex. I didnt notice any herpes lesions on him.   Saturday while I was working I noticed a small red mark in the middle of my upper lip.  I didn't notice any other spots on my lip. I drank 3 sodas in a can that day, so could the metal on the can have rubbed on my lip?. I dont know whether its my anxiety making me feel a tingling ever so often or if its herpes. I have very bad anxiety attacks when this happens, very bad.  As I said, I've fooled around with this guy before and almost every time afterwards I have bad anxiety attacks where I think I may have an STD, but nothing happens.  I'm just very scared and really can't tell the difference between my anxiety or if it's herpes symptoms.  I just keep looking at it and it doesnt seem to get better, granted its only been just one day and i do keep licking my lips so they keep drying out.
Questions:
Could my lip have just rubbed against the can?
Does herpes happen in the middle of the upper lip? all the pictures i've seen have it to the sides of the mouth

Anything is possibl.  Red marks are typically irritation.  While it could be herpes it is doubtful that is all you had.  Tingling is only a symptom of reoccuring herpes infections not intial infections.

Herpes can happen anywhere.

You need to wait 12 weeks after your last sexual encounter to test using a type specific igg test.  Best thing is to have your partner get tested as well to know your own status.
