Oral herpes?

I have genital herpes and I never performed oral sex on the guy who gave it to me. But I have cuts where my lips meet in the corner. I have had herpes for over a year now and this has never happened before so is it herpes or is it the lack of some vitamin because I read about other people without herpes who had the same problem I'm summer and winter. Started once it got hot this year

you would have to infect your baby in order for it to have any issues because of your herpes.

Thankyou:) that is what I thought so apparently my teacher needs to get her facts straight. And by disability I didn't mean getting it I meant as in special needs. But I seriously doubt that too.

does having genital herpes mean you are going to have kids with birth defects? no it does not. the overall risk of transmitting herpes to your children during delivery is less than 1% if no obvious symptoms are present.

So my psychology teacher said that parents with stds are not likely to have children with disabilities....???? Idk if you can answer this or not but I thought I'd try.

typically these are just normal bumps in the mouth. not unusual for them to be more prominent when dehydrated from being sick.

feel better soon :)

Hi so this is kinda the same problem but not. The angular cheilitis cleard up after a few days of vitamin b pills but I've been sick all week from swimming in a lake( all my friends who got in it we sick too) and I just noticed dozens of itty bitty bumps all on the inside of my lips. Is this the sickness or could this be my herpes? I've never had an outbreak on my mouth and when I have gotten one in my genital area it has been ONE bump that looked like a bu bite. Could I have herpes for over a year and then randomly have a mouth outbreak due to being sick?

usually the cheilitis is a fungal infection that needs treated. it also can be from certain chemicals - especially those in toothpastes.  if it doesn't go away, see your provider.

Thankyou its angular cheilitis it is in both corners and is cuts and not blisters. I don't take in a lot of vitamin b and so I bought a vitamin b supplement and it is already better and has stopped hurting

if you have hsv2 genitally, you aren't likely to have hsv2 orally.  you can have hsv1 orally and hsv2 genitally. as I suggested - see your provider if you are concerned.

I have never gotten anything on my mouth before the whole time I have had it. I read about angular cheilitis and the pics look just like my mouth. I did think about stress and how it could have caused an outbreak on my mouth but I am not stressed and I was stressed this whole past school year to the ends of my wit and nothing came up. Is it possible to automatically have oral herpes just from having genital? Because again I never performed oral on the guy who have it to me and all my partners since have been tested

this could be oral herpes or it could be chapped lips or even something called angular cheilitis. if you are concerned, see your provider for a proper exam.
