Outbreak relief?
I've had herpes since I was 18. Almost two weeks ago I had my second out break. The day before yesterday me and my partner had sex. Protected of course. I checked myself and my obgyn checked me to a few days before. at first I thought it was just a yeast infection but when I went to the doc he said it was a yeast infection and an outbreak. They gave me medicine for the teat infection and told me to start taking the dosage of my valtrex. So I did and when the doctor told me he saw nothing and I didn't see or feel anything....I thought it was over. Anyways we had sex and I used baby oil as a lube. Well a couple hours later after I got out the tub I noticed the tingly feeling again. And now i'm having the same symptoms minus the yeast infection. Today its feel worse though...and i'm all swollen. I don't see any blisters. Just like the last time. I didn't see any because it was inside. I've never had any blisters or open sores outside. Is there any pain meds I can take or get from my doc? Or any cream that help. It doesn't burn but it itches and it just hurts to move. I decided I will just wear a long shirt and panties until its clear cause I can't wear anything that will rub against it the wrong way. Any relief tips will help.
I had no idea about the baby oil. I have both 1 & 2. And my partner gets tested once every 3 months. Should he get tested now or in a couple weeks?
baby oil should never be used as a sex lube! it sets you up for vaginal infections as well as degrades condoms so makes using them useless!!
at this point, be seen monday for a proper exam again. this is most likely from using the baby oil.
do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally? has your partner been tested to know their full herpes status too?
