Please help with results so confused dr doesn't help.

Hello,
So I am quite confused about my current results. A little history:

2 years ago i had sex and right after I had a yeast infection and used over the counter cream I am SUPER sensitive and right after developed what I thought was an allergic reaction. I kept itching on top of the yeast infection and developed cuts. I don't think they blistered maybe some did I only had maybe 3 or 4. Went to the dr since I was on vacation right away said I looked too painful to take culture and I have herpes. She did take a blood test I'm not sure what test or the levels at the time I wasn't educated. She gave me valtrex it didn't help at all and the results came back negative. Since then no problems

Fast forward to now I have recently been on heavy doses back to back of antibiotics about 5 total. The first month I got a yeast infection took diflucan went away.
2 months later I thought I got another one. I looked down at my vagina and it looked so dry I could see my skin flaking off. Then a couple of days of thay my skin looked like it cracked from being so dry and had paper cuts. I mistakenly used hydrocortisone cream on my vagina inside and my butt because from being on heavy pain killers I got constipated and had to strain and got an anal fissure. Right after I applied cream it made it worse I developed what looked like a rash. They never became blisters and they were all over my vagina like chicken pox almost and my anus. Too me the best way to describe it was the cuts got stretched from moving or me looking everyday. I went to the dr the midwife NR said it didn't look like a typical herpes outbreak but she cultured it. She Brought another midwife in because it looked so bad like I was cut. They both agreed it was yeast and explained that sometimes yeast can dry you out and make your skin crack. She didn't give me diflucan because I took it 4 days before coming it and said sometimes it takes a while if its bad one.

The next day I was in so much pain from going to the bathroom and the sores nothing helped I returned to the dr office and had to see a MD instead of the midwife RN. I explained to him what they told me and he looked at me said its herpes gave me valtrex took blood work and a yeast culture.

I started valtrex and it was already a week that I had these symptoms so I couldn't tell you if the valtrex worked or if I was healing on my own. I do have to say I healed within a week though. They never scabbed they never were filled with pus or a blister or popped or even white head looking.

I got my results for the herpes culture all it says is HERPES SIMPLEX- ISOLATED. Even on quest it says that. I saw the RN and she told me you have herpes I'll give you a script for valtrex to have its up to you if you want to take it everyday but for now I'm treating it as you take it if you get an outbreak and told me I didn't have to come back for he blood as the culture was positive and my yeast culture was positive too gave me diflucan just to have. I left so confused and forgot to ask what type I was positive for in the culture.

Now my blood work hasn't come in and I'm wondering could this be yeast? I haven't had sex for 4 months. I know isolated means virus was found but I don't know the type. If my blood comes back negative will it be long enough to know that I have it?
I am thinking I want to be on valtrex everyday because I don't want to wait for an itch and have to decide if it's yeast or herpes.

I requested to get my results from quest since my lab work was there and their app just says the same thing HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS ISOLATED. And my dr seems like an idiot and it's the only place
I'm covered for gyno obgyn.

If the first outbreak was 2 years ago that was NOTNING compared to this outbreak this one was horrible and looked so different. Also why so long between. I am thinking the first blood
Work was too soon to show I had it and no culture to confirm. But it took 2 years to have another one and it's worse than the first and I have a yeast infection on top of it? I really believe I healed on my own because it took me almost a week to get into the dr while having symptoms I was already starting to heal then I took valtrex and 2 days after or maybe 1 I was almost healed. I just want to know how I find out my culture I was positive for if the dr won't tell me or doesn't have an answer how do I get it from quest.
I know cultures are rarely ever false positive I just have no faith in this dr office.

Please help I'm so confused.

Now I am hoping they give me levels for my blood when I do get them.

Sorry if i mis read something, but if you has a swab and it came back positive that would be cofirmed positive and over ride any blood test.
HVS would not relate to your period.

Thank you Life360 you are a life saver. I do have a question is it possible that the culture was a false positive Since my HSV 1 could be a false positive?  I know cultures are rarely or if ever false positives. Do most dr's not use the western blot when getting tested? It would say it on my results correct? I am going to a new dr tomorrow and I am gonna request it since there are no answers and I don't want to wait until or if I have another ob to get cultured again.

Unrelated to that and random but in any way could HSV throw off your menstural cycle? I know I'm not pregnant but haven't had my period in 4 months and I've been off birthcontrol for a year now. Before that I took it for 6 years and would skip my period by starting a new pack every now and then so my cycle was never on track. Just wanted to know if it was a possibility since you are clearly way more helpful and educated then most Dr's I have seen!
Thank you again for your time and patience

Hi, where we stand now is your negative for hsv2 and you hsv1 positive falls in the false positive range and would need another blood test to confirm. It would be best to have the Western Blot to confirm this

I got my numbers back I'm just still confused the clinic didn't send the culture to be tested for a type and my blood work only is positive for type 1 in IGG can someone help me because I've never had a cold sore in my life and this is the first Ob unless I had one 2 years ago that was little compared to this. Just isn't adding up to me :/ also the last encounter sexually I had was dec. so it is plenty of time for blood tests to show from what I've read.

Blood tests
HSV TYPE 1 IGG  Ab 3.31 H
HSV TYPE 2 IGG Ab 0.90
HSV 1 IGM negative
HSV 2 IGM negative

Herpes simplex virus culture
Source vagina
HSV culture: isolated

( doesn't have a type don't think I was tested for a type)
Yeast culture- positive candidiasis albicans

Hi thank you so much for your reply. Sorry I am so new to this what do you mean by that? Your second sentence. This stuff is so confusing and having doctors that don't help or give you answers make it even worse.

When they take a culture for herpes do they always test for the type or is there a chance they didn't and I would have to wait for another outbreak to get cultured to know?

Thank you again so much I know I wrote a short novel lol.

Hi, yes the word isolated would mean positive. Also having a recent infection the outbreak could be all around the area but with those with long term herpes, the outbreak would only be on one side. Lets wait to see your blood test as i agree the place you went to is a bit iffy.
