New to hsv2
I have hsv2 for a 6 months now. I'm concerned about spreading this virus. All my research says in "theory" it can spread. Can it spread from say using the bathroom touching my penis and fixing my tie before I can wash? Can it live on cloths? I don't want to put my boxer shorts in the same hamper as my children cloths go into because I don't want it to spread to their cloths. Is the only way 100% true from sexual transmission? Please help clear this up. I've read if you don't wash your hands properly you can spread it to objects like food, other people's hands, pens etc...
Been repling here for 2 years, most are the same questions.

It could be interpreted that way. Test were performed on people with it and they tested positive this many times

3-5% shedding for genital hsv1 and 15-30% genital hsv2. These means the virus is on the surface without a sore visible.

Yes they are different in they follow different patterns of reactivation and shedding. Hsv2 shed much more than hsv1 genital.
Is one worse then the other?
You need to know if its hsv1 or 2 and you need to be diagnosed with a test to confirm. its not easy to transfer.
I have no health care so only by a local std clinic. She looked and said this is herpes have me sample valtrex and it cleared up 2 weeks later. I've have about 3 small outbreaks since then. Is this Easley transferable disease?
Nothings 100% but its considered sexually transmitted for the most part. How were you diagnosed?

Hi, youve read alot of the wrong information. Hsv2 genital is passed from direct genital contact with rubbing to force the virus into the nerve.
