I posted this in the std forum with no help.

Could someone give me some advice. I've been to the docs more than once with nothing.

Thanks for your input. I just was frustrated with no answers from the doc and was hoping for some input on people with experience on this. I'm for sure testing at 12 weeks.Sorry to repost.  I've had a month long ordeal of doctor's visits and stress.

I'm afraid you won't get different answers on this forum.  (You had two threads on the STD forum, but linked only one of them. The replies on the other also were that herpes is unlikely.)

Your symptoms, both initially and now, are not typical of an HSV infection. That said, herpes can be unpredictable, and you should discuss your concerns with your doctor, who may recommend testing -- both to be sure herpes isn't the issue, and because negative test results should increase your own confidence about it. A blood test at this time would be ~80% reliable, although a second test at 3-4 months also may be recommended by your doctor. You also could talk with your partner and perhaps ask him to be tested for HSV. If negative, you'll know for sure he couldn't have infected you.
