Positive HSV I/II IgG - but Equivocal for both type specific

I had a herpes blood test done and my results are very inconclusive - my doctor didn't even know how they were possible.  For the HSV I/II IgG combination test, my result was 9.8H (positive).  However, the HSV I and HSV II type specific IgG tests both came back at .91, which is equivocal.  So, my question is, do I have HSV or not?

I did a blood test for Herpes several times. The 2 prior ones came back negative whilst the last one read:

HSV 11 Igg AB 5.5 H and Reference Range: 0.0-0.9

What does this mean?

many things can make the non-type specific test +. we really don't recommend its use any more.

Both your type specific tests were negative.

what led to you getting tested?
