Herpes 11 weeks pregnant

I think I got herpes for the first on my breast at 10 or 11 weeks of pregnancy so my question is what are the chances of getting congenital herpes, baby born with herpes???

As you have HSV1, the virus is ever present, probably in your oral nerves. For a healthy person, it is either impossible, or virtually impossible to infect your baby whilst in the womb. This is regardless of whether you have outbreaks or not.

The risk of transmission is during birth if you have genital herpes and of course subsequently if baby sucks on your face or an infected area.

It is unlikely what you had on your breast was HSV1.

I don't think I have genital herpes, unless herpes on breast are genital but I don't think so. What I want to know is that if I got hsv1 on my breast for the first time while prego on those weeks I could transmit to baby or what are the odds?

In the US, 60% of people test positive for HSV1 and this will usually infer an oral infection. Do you get cold sores around the mouth and lips?

You certainly don't want to assume anything in your situation, but do you have any particular reason to consider that you may have genital HSV1? These are important issues and you should assemble your thinking for a good discussion with your medical team.

You should certainly follow up with your birthing professionals here in order to understand risks and reduce or eliminate them.

Herpes on your body is not likely to infer a genital infection at all. It is unlikely for it to be HSV1 or HSV2 but instead shingles or nothing herpetic at all.

You should undertake the appropriate testing for IgG HSV antibodies and assess the situation from there.
