Positive results

Follow up questions-
my HSV1 was 1.14, HSV2 was 1.72, results received 4 days ago.

I circled back to recent partners, and one of them received results yesterday:
HSV1 - 4.7
HSV2 - 2.9

I infer her set of results to imply that she is conclusively positive for HSV1 and almost certainly positive for HSV2.  Really, from what I've read these types of scores are almost unequivocal.

the question comes from my exposure to her having been 5 days prior to blood draw.  Would my Igg scores be this high as a result of exposure to her 5 days prior?  I have read that typically it takes 3 weeks or so for the ELISA Igg numbers to show much of anything.  Have had no primary outbreaks, and she has been entirely asymptomatic at every point for both variants.  Last time with her was probably 5 months prior.

Also, as a result of her higher scores, it's reasonable to conclude that if one of us infected the other, it would be she that infected me, correct?  She had blood drawn a day after I did and has significantly higher antibody counts.  Please fill me in on this.

Also, there is another partner who I was with 2 days after what turned out to be exposure.  She is freaking out for obvious reasons.  I want her to get tested and I have a couple of questions if there are any experts present- first question is what are her odds for contraction for one encounter with someone who was exposed 3 days prior in the absence of any symptoms.  Second question, how long should she wait before taking the tests to determine her own outcome?

Please if you have information, read and answer each question, don't tell me to get WB or answer anything that wasn't asked.  I go for biokit confirm HSV2 on Wednesday, but for me things are looking very adverse at the present time given these other results.  I'm interested to know if there is some basis for hope for the 2nd girl.  Please let me know.  Thank you.

I don't intend to be argumentative, but I was under the impression that anything >3.5 was considered unequivocal and my research reading many of the posts in the former expert forum here on medhelp...let's say the Drs' replies to people asking about their chances when they are up in this range of HSV1 4.7 and HSV2 2.9 were, "it's almost certain that you are positive."  Obviously we do not want to abandon hope but the Doctors who used to post were pretty clear that these high 2s and low 3s...it's time to prepare yourself for the reality that you're infected.

2.9 is a very high "noncertain" score...under 3.5 is not "certain" but the closer to that number the worse the odds.  Obviously she will get retested, but it looks most probable that I was exposed to someone who was definitely HSV1+ and almost definitely HSV2+.  If you have some references which can demonstrate a different range of equivocal scores, I would appreciate your directing me to them. Thanks.

First of all her hsv2 also falls into the false positive range where testing shows positive anything above 1.2.
Most exposure to not lead to transmission and in monogomus relationships where one has it and the other does not is about 8% a year. You testing positive 5 days post exposure also is proof that it is very well a false positive as about 1/2 of those infected could show a positive result in 2-3 weeks not 5 days.

I don't know how much clearer I could have been about "don't tell me to get WB" than what I said, which was "don't tell me to get WB."

I will get biokit in 5 days.  False positives??!?  My partner is HSV1 4.7, HSV2 2.9...wtf...there is next to nothing false positive about her scores in any way.  They are nearly unequivocally positive!

If you aren't going to answer or you don't have any information, then just say sor.  Maybe my scores are false positives, sure, but after exposure to a person nearly certainly HSV1+ and HSV2+, you're telling me information that simply isn't supported by the facts.  I am not some guy who wandered in here like a hypochondriac asking if bc I had a 30 second blowjob 8 months ago and I have a little itch might I have herpes.  I have actual sexual contact with someone who turned out IS infected and MY scores came up positive 5 days later!

I asked about rates of transmission and rates of seroconversion, not for advice on how to get a followup test that I mentioned clearly that I had already scheduled.

Our best suggestion is to retest otherwise we could have endless speculation. In all possibilites they are false positives.Do the WB
