Possible HSV?

I had unprotected sex with a lady i have been having sex with for 5 years now. It all started with a single itchy like pimple 10 days after our last encounter on side shaft of my penis just below my gland right where my skin would roll up. I thought it was from the nylon bathing suit I was wearing all day on the beach in florida where it was hot and humid so i didnt think much about it.

While sleeping naked friction wore the outer skin off the pimple and a scab formed. then another 2 started lower same side that looked like deep pimples, small in size, 2 days later  3 more in a straight line on left side of penis about 1/2" from first, when they would either pop or go away all looked to be going norm then slowly another would start. As one would go another would show. This has been going on for 1 1/2 weeks. Is a herpes breakout like this or do they pretty much all come at once. Thanks so much for your time in advance.

1st pimple on july 25-26 with 2 further towards base  of my penis on  july 28 and the 3 in a straight line approx july 29-30th
All cleared up with no signs by aug 6th with one small pinhead pimple u see when i pull the skin back from my gland. Total of 6 pimples that were somewhat itchy but irritation would go away if i used aloe.
Yesterday I started to feel a warm rash/ rug burn same area. still today. 2 days ago i was in the pool and wearing same bathing suit with nylon mesh.  coincidence maybe.
If i pull my skin back tight i can see red irritation where the pimples were  before and what looks to be pimples like white spots formimg underneath the skin.
I am seeing my Dr tomorrow morning but was curious could this be HSV. Would HSV lesions show up over a weeks time heal then another outbreak all within 19 days. I think after reading so much here I am just now becoming paranoid as maybe it might even be a fungal infection.
Thanks so much for your time and service
L

You are most welcome.  I'm so glad things are going well with your doctor, too.

Saw my Dr. and he told me he was 99.9 percent positive it was not Herpes. He thinks its a bacterial infection or yeast infection that started in Florida. Probably started with a friction rub with all the humidity and heat the bacteria or yeast caught a good foothold. He couldn't do a swab test Terri due to no lesions. When I showed him what I thought was going to be a lesion that was coming on he laughed at me. Dont get my Dr. wrong it was a good friendship type of laugh not a insensitive non careing. He said I was scutinizing the imperfection of the erectiIe tissue under the skin being paranoid. I have been going to him for 16 years so I do consider him also a good friend. He still ran blood work and all came back negative. He wants to do more in 2.5 more months to be absolutely safe. He did give me an earful about safe sex though.
Thanks so much Terri for your unselfish help and to all the others that volunteer. I am reading as much as I can now on the subject so hopefully I can come back and help to,

New herpes could behave in that way, yes.  Has your partner ever been tested for herpes?  How about you?

But would the timeline be correct. Could it come and go then come back that fast. I thought i could get into the Dr today but not til monday morn. No pimples just a mild burning and irritation area. Bad friction?

Sometimes men who are not circumcized get fungal infections under the foreskin, I was wondering if that might be the case.

I think it is a good idea that you see your doctor tomorrow, but if these are resolving, a swab test will not give you the answers that you need.  I would recommend that you and your partner get herpes antibody tests to see what might be going on here, herpes-wise.  It could certainly be something as simple as a fungal infection - its very difficult to assess over the internet, but a clinician can give you a better idea.  Are you circumcized or not?
