herpes on buttocks
Is it possible for a heterosexual male, such as myself to have a herpes sore near my tailbone on my buttocks?
Hi Grace, I had a little sore near my penis, just up from the base.
It was there for around 5 days... and they took a culture from it, and it came back positive for herpes.
Should I get a blood test also, to be sure?

herpes presents differently on different people. if these symptoms have been there for less than 48 hours, you can get a herpes lesion culture. If it's been longer than that, be seen for a proper exam. consider a baseline herpes igg blood test now if you haven't had one recently and if it's been less than 3 months since you last had sex, repeat it later on.

Does herpes look at all like a whitehead? Because from what ive read it is more of multiple blisters on a red area. Could it be just one bump
